An excellent class

I went to an amazing Metal Etching class today at Scraptivate staring the legendary Jen Crossley - oh.em.gee, it was beyond AWESOME!

First things first, I have to show you what I learnt today... and before you ask... yes! I had no idea how to use a Crop-O-Dile before today! lol. And I used Tim Holtz distress inks today for the first time, too! Now I know what all the fuss is about.

And here's another view of what I made today...

I have since finished sewing the binding, and have a few charms and chain coming from Jen's store A Mark In Time to embellish my book. Can't wait for her next lot of classes in 2012!

A few pics from the day...

These were my metal plates before they went into the acid... and one went walkies! :(
Thank you to Jen for coming to my rescue and offering to make a replacement - you rock!

  4. I have a non-binding related question. Have you ever used a big shot and what would you recommend buying - the big shot or a silhouette? I'd really love to know some reasons too.

    Thanks,

    Rebecca W.
