Look What Santa brought...

I've been really quiet, I know! I thought I would quickly drop in and show you why! I've been playing with my new Canon EOS 7D (try saying that 3 times quickly) that Santa brought me last week ... boy oh boy, am I one lucky duck.

Here's some shots we took today... it's in the high 30's this week in Perth.

OK, onto a papery creation for this weeks Just Add Ink challenge - Just Add Summer!!

All products used in this project are available from Stampin' Up!, except masking tape.

It's been a seriously long time since I scrapbooked so putting this together was so enjoyable. I'm getting back into my photography again (obviously) - that's the core of scrapbooking, right? But yes, sometimes you get distracted along the way but I'm back into it, feelin' the passion in my own quirky style.

How about scrapbooking some of you fave shots from Summer for this weeks challenge?

Have a goodie,

Scrunchy Ribbon

Another fantastic video I had to share from Mary Fish of Stampin' Pretty...

Will have some goodies to show you soon... bye for now!

Adventure World

I thought it was about time I caught up on some scrapbooking, and since the kids are having a nap on this balmy Australian summer afternoon I could not resist the opportunity to digitally whip something up. (I should be nursing off my chook flu - another long story - but can't rest in this heat.)

I loathe multi-photo layouts, but love their purpose!! This quick page kit from Jessica Sprague quickly came to the rescue via download! By the way, she's got 20% off her whole site at the moment (including classes!) at the moment.

I also added a few embellishments from the Vintage Carnival kit from The Lily Pad (designed by Jennifer Barrette). A must have for any digi scrapper. *smile*

So what do you think? Does it ooze fun and laughter? I can't believe this was almost a year ago. Seems like only ... lol ... A YEAR AGO!!

I'll share one of the photo's that didn't make it into the PG rated version of this layout. That's my darling husband being a bogan and giving me the bird. On an under 12's rollercoaster ride. And my two boys in the front row. Look at those happy faces!

Wishing you all a merry, merry Christmas if I don't pop in before then.

Great Storage Tip

Is there nothing Mary Fish can't do?? Best tips everrrr...

Bye for now!

Just Add Ink 48 - A Sketch Challenge

I am so ready for Christmas! Are you excited?? We are totally excited here in the Reddicliffe household, the Christmas tree is twinkling, the house is decorated with a zillion little hand-written cards (by 5-7 year old school buddies, sooo cute!), the presents are beautifully wrapped and last minute cards a-ready for the post office.

And I finished work today. *Happy sigh*. Don't get me wrong, love my job, but I have hardly seen my kids in the last 10 weeks if you know what I mean - busy, busy, busy. The best thing about Christmas is seeing my family.

Did I mention something about a challenge? Sorry, I got sidetracked! Danielle has put yet another gorgeous sketch together and JAI48 will be running for 2 weeks instead of the usual 1 week ... because lets face it - we're all still busy this time of year no matter how organised we are!!

A lovey dovey card ... it was hubs and my 4th wedding anniversary on the 10th ... how time flies. Our October anniversary (mentioned a few posts ago) was when we actually became an item ... way back when in 1999.

Sorry, no recipe today - I grabbed bits and pieces from all over the chaos zone I call my desk. It's pretty self-explanatory. All goodies from Stampin' Up!.

Bye for now,

CASE Study 17

Woo! A new muse is over at CASE study, and a completely different style. I would call this my 2008 scrapbooking style (when lace was a new product in my inventory) and I went to my first off-the-page class at Scraptivate.

What I'm trying to say is, it was nice to revisit a style that I have long neglected, and really enjoyed putting this CASE together. Thank you Nina who made the CASE card for this weeks challenge...

And here's my card ...
All products used are from Stampin' Up!
Paper:
Kraft Crumb Cake, Whisper White plain cardstock
Stamps: Winter Post, Delightful Decorations, En Francias
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Early Esspresso, Riding Hood Red
Other: Ornament Extra-Large punch, rhinestones, sponge, Chantilly Lace, twine, Sewing machine, SNAIL, dimensionals

This card will be making a one-way trip to the UK tomorrow morning. Wish it luck. :)

Have a great weekend,

Just Add ... A Swap Hop!

Welcome to the Just Add Ink Design Team Swap Hop!

Recently all of the Design Team at Just Add Ink participated in a card swap. So we thought it would be fun to do our own little blog hop so that you could check out all of the cards that were made.

There are 14 stops on the blog hop, but don't worry if you are starting here because you can just continue around in a full circle so you won't miss out on anyone's blog! All you have to do is click the Swap Hop Button at the bottom of my post and you will continue onto the next stop.

Here's the card I made - really easy - I wanted a one layer card with just a few embellishments so I added the button to the centre of one of the Petal Pizzazz flowers and some kitchen string (when I ran out of twine) cris-crossed across the bottom.

Paper: Confetti Cream, Choc Chip, Greenhouse Gala DSP; Ink: Baja Breeze, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron, Old Olive; Stamps: Apple Blossoms (Hostess Set), Petal Pizazz; Punches: Scallop Edge border punch; Other: vintage find button, kitchen string/twine, acrylic blocks, SAMJ, Snail Adhesive.

Enjoy the rest of the blog hop ... next stop is the super talented Chantell Randall! To go to her page just click on the button below to go to her blog. And also a big thank you to the wonderful Just Add Ink DT - you girls are the best.

An Oldie

This week at Just Add Ink we're doing a theme challenge - Just Add Critters! I wasn't sure what set to dig out ... and when I say dig out, I really do mean it.

We were given a hand-me-down Christmas tree in January (my mum "upgraded" to an enormous UK import tree that was on sale from a fancy shmancy shop - long, funny story - basically she'd been window visiting it since November) and our new tree is HUGE. Beautiful, but - woah. It takes up about ... 1/6th of our living room. My craft area takes up another 1/6 and the furniture takes up 3/6, so there's not much room to move in our little front lounge at the moment. lol.

Having boxes and wrapping paper everywhere Christmas morning will be interesting to say the least.

OK ... onto my project ... I can't let Christmas come and go and not use my fave Christmas set Merry Christmas, Mate.

And I love this ribbon, I will have to see if Santa will bring me a few extra colours this year ... heehee. Everything I've used here is pretty self-explanatory, but drop me an email if you do have any questions.

Thanks for stopping by!
